FLORIDA — Many unemployed Floridians will not be receiving their financial benefits this week.
The Florida Department of Economic opportunity says there is a delay in checks due to the holidays.
On Twitter on Wednesday, the DEO said that the delay is due to office and bank closures.

Payments may be delayed two to three business days, leaving many without payments until early next week.
Federal unemployment benefits are also set to expire in two days, unless President Trump signs a new relief deal before then.
