WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — As Joe Biden was making his first remarks as president, Donald Trump’s motorcade worked its way down West Palm Beach’s Southern Boulevard.
‘God Bless the USA’ blared from nearby cars and hundreds of people lined the street to cheer for the former president.
As he rode down the street, Trump fist pumped and gave the double thumbs up to his supporters from behind the closed car window.
It’s 9:30 a.m. and there’s probably 200 Trump supporters lining Southern Blvd. That is Trumps route to Mar-A-Lago. Still 2 hours to go. I met this group selling buttons @BN9 pic.twitter.com/cdNO9fFYPm

“I have never been more proud to be an American,” said resident Kathy Vaughan. “I felt like it was my best friend going by.”
The impromptu street party was filled with flags, dancing, and loud music as his supporters prepared for Trump’s arrival home to Mar-a-lago.
This supporter just parked in front of us on Southern Blvd about 2 hours ahead of Trump’s arrival. Check that license plate @BN9 pic.twitter.com/7EMtlhxfmk

“It’s like the Super Bowl,” said resident Josias Citta. “It’s the day he leaves office but he’s done so much for us.”
Trump arrived at Mar-a-lago just moments before noontime Wednesday, when Biden took over the role as president.
