ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — You can now receive your COVID vaccine at more retail pharmacies. Select Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Winn Dixie stores started offering it on Friday.
It’s part of a federal program aimed at making the vaccine more accessible to people.

This week, Florida pharmacies will receiver more than 65,000 doses.
The pharmacies follow state guidelines, so right now, people 65 years or older and frontline healthcare workers are eligible to receive the vaccine.
Some retailers require appointments to be vaccinated. It is free of charge.
“It's about accessibility. It's an honor to have pharmacists located in under served areas, our retail pharmacists, and our retail team are so eager to help and serve the communities they live and work in,” said Brandi Vosberg, Walmart Pharmacies Regional Director.
