TAMPA, Fla. — The Buccaneers will kick off the NFL’s 2021 season at home Thursday, Sept. 9, against the Dallas Cowboys.
The defending Super Bowl champions, and the rest of the league’s teams, found out all of their game dates and times Wednesday night as the league released its 2021 schedule.
Something new this season: The league has added another game as teams will now play a 17-game season.

The Bucs will follow a trend of previous Super Bowl winners starting the next season at home. Sixteen of the last 18 title winners opened their season at home.
The Bucs will play in a team-record five primetime, nationally televised games, including an Oct. 3 Sunday meeting at New England, where quarterback Tom Brady spent 20 seasons before joining the Bucs last year.
The Bucs other home opponents are the Giants, Bills, Dolphins, Saints, Falcons, Panthers and Bears.
