Hillsborough County parents who chose to send their children back to the classroom for the 2021-22 school year will now have a second chance to decide whether in-person learning is right for their family.
Amid the ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases and concerns over the delta variant's threat to younger people, the district is reopening registration for Hillsborough Virtual K-12 school.
Superintendent Addison Davis made the announcement on Friday.
Hillsborough Schools' website states that registration will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7.
Davis said it will remain open through Monday.
Students return to school for the start of the fall semester on Tuesday, Aug. 10.
