TAMPA — A felony battery of a law enforcement officer charge has been dropped against a Black Lives Matter protester.
The attorney of Jamie Bullock told Spectrum Bay News 9's Fadia Patterson that Bullock agreed to complete a diversion program to have another misdemeanor charge dropped.
Bullock and several co-defendants were back in court just last month in relation to the case.
The protests took place last year on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.
Bullock was charged with battery of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest without violence.
After the arrest, Bullock dropped out of school and says she was diagnosed with PTSD stemming from the events of the 2020 march.
The legal dispute went on for more than a year.
