The inspiration behind the numerous holiday light fixtures and decor is Lucas Hutchins.

Hutchins is a native of England who moved to the United States at 13 years old. His passion for Christmas lights and decorations has now become a tradition that he believes is bringing his community closer together.

"I've been doing this for like 16 years," said Hutchins.

For 10 months out of the year Hutchins runs his lawn care business. But during the months of November and December, he focuses on holiday lights and decorations.

"The most popular lights is icicles," he said. "I started my display and the rest of the subdivision was very dark and people would ask me, 'Would you do my house too?'"

Spectrum Bay News 9's Fadia Patterson joined Hutchins as he worked on a neighbor's home.

"Now this year I think we've done like 35 houses," Hutchins says the count continues to grow.

All of those homes are now part of his Temple Terrace Light Show

"We have the best decorated street in the whole city," he said. "Christmas is the best time of the year!"

Hutchins says he's still in awe of how well his lighting decor business is doing.

"I feel like don't have to leave my neighborhood to work," he added.

He typically works from dawn to dusk to achieve the effect that River Run is now know for.

Hutchin's home leads the show with sychronized holiday music.

"Christmas is a time for kids to have fun and families to get together," he added he's proud that quality time is happening at his show.
