TAMPA, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center is honoring the late Betty White with a special promotion.

The beloved actress, who died on New Year’s Eve at age 99, was a well-known pet lover and animal activist.

The Pet Resource Center is hosting the #BettyWhiteChallenge, with the first 100 dog and cat adoptions starting January 15 free in celebration of her 100th birthday.

White would have turned 100 on Jan. 17.
