Perrion Winfrey is one player who really took advantage of his week at the Senior Bowl, firing up draft boards with MVP honors after notching two sacks.
Here's what Winfrey believes he'll bring at the next level.
"There's a whole lot of things I can bring. I have 35 inch arms. I can bring explosiveness. Fast get-off,” he said during the NFL Combine. “Not only that, but I'm one of those people who can make the whole room better. I'm a great leader on and off the field, so I know that once I get around an organization I can make everyone around me want to be great."
Winfrey spent two years at junior college before transferring to Oklahoma, where he earned second team All-Big 12 his two seasons with the Sooners.
This past year was his best, starting all 12 games with 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.
He's a good athlete at 6’4” and 292 pounds, posting a 4.89 40 at the Combine, third fastest at the position.
And doesn't he sound like a guy the Bills would like?
"I'm not one of those players that gets complacent or gets happy with personal accolades that I have in the past,” he said. “I continue to want to be great and chase accolades and chase team success until I can't anymore."
Winfrey did have a formal meeting with the Bills at the Combine. He's likely a Day 2 selection.
