INVERNESS — Due to a decline in community COVID-19 cases, HCA Florida Citrus Hospital will update its visitor policy beginning Sunday, April 24.
The policy will allow patient visitation seven days per week from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. with a limit of two adult visitors per patient at a time. The hospital's previous visitation policy was still open weekly, but hours were from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
The hospital's administration may further restrict the number of visitors per patient room in order to provide patients with a calm and relaxing environment while they heal.
Visitor access will remain restricted to adult visitors only and there will be no access for visitors below the age of 18 unless the visitor is the parent of a hospitalized child. Visitors are also required to wear a mask at all times.
