TAMPA, Fla. — "Bluey's Big Play - The Stage Show" will be bringing the animated canine and her furry family to the stage at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts on April 29-30, 2023.
The series follows Bluey, an anthropomorphic six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who is characterised by her abundance of energy, imagination and curiosity of the world. The young dog lives with her father, Bandit, her mother, Chilli, and younger sister, Bingo, who regularly joins Bluey on adventures as the duo play together and use their imaginations.
The stage show will be focused on Bluey and Bingo's dad, who wants a quiet and relaxing Sunday afternoon, but sisters Bluey and Bingo have a far more active agenda planned, and they'll use anything at their disposal to make sure Dad's playing too.
The Emmy-winning series airing on multiple Disney channels originated in Australia and is loved by children in the U.K., the U.S. and beyond. This will be the first live-action stage show for the series, featuring a new story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, new music by composer Joff Bush, puppets, live actors and familiar sets.
Tickets for the show will be announced soon.
