CLEARWATER, Fla. — Three adults and three children were injured after being struck in the pickup line at the Building Blocks at Clearwater day care on Lakeview Road after a truck went out of control, according to the Clearwater Police.

The children, ages 2, 3, and 5, that are believed to be siblings, and their mother were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The woman driving the truck and an adult day care worker were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

None of the injuries are life-threatening.

Police say that the woman driving the truck was cited.

The driver said that she stepped on the gas when she meant to hit the brakes after she saw a child running near the truck.

The day care will be closed on Tuesday while inspectors view the damage to the building.
