TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County's Supervisor of Elections office sent more than 6,400 primary election ballots to absent military and overseas voters on Friday and is preparing to send out more than 321,000 ballots to domestic voters on July 21.

Vote By Mail ballots are only available to registered voters who request one. The deadline to register to vote — if not already registered — or change party affiliation for the primary election, is July 25. Florida voters have until August 13 to request that a ballot be mailed to them.
"I encourage voters who want to vote by mail to make their request as soon as possible. And it's so easy," said Craig Latimer, Supervisor of Elections in Hillsborough County in a press release. "There's an online request form at VoteHillsborough.gov or voters can call my office to make their request."
Voters will need to provide their Florida Driver License, Florida ID or the last four digits of their social security number when making the request.
The primary election includes nonpartisan issues and races for school board and judges that all voters vote on, regardless of party affiliation. Voters can take a look at the races that will be on their ballot on the website and looking up their sample ballot.
Voters who prefer to vote in person can plan to vote during early voting or on Election Day. Early voting in Hillsborough County is August 8 - 21, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Election Day is August 23, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
