Turning Point USA will be hosting its annual Student Action Summit at the Tampa Convention Center.
Speakers include former President Donald J. Trump, Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Rick Scott.
According to organizers, students who attend the conference will receive activism and leadership training, and participate in a series of networking events with political leaders and activist organizations.
The Florida LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus Summer Conference is also taking place this weekend. Congressman Charlie Crist and Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried will be at the Fort Lauderdale event, just days after their first and only gubernatorial debate as they vie to unseat DeSantis.
Topics to be discussed at the event are reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, the outlook for legislation impacting the trans community and economic issues, according to organizers.
Both events will run from July 22 through July 24.
