ST. LOUIS–The field of 68 is set, and teams of interest in the St. Louis region have their “marching orders” for men’s NCAA basketball tournament.

One team has a little work to do before the first official weekend of the tournament.

Southeast Missouri State, fresh off winning the Ohio Valley Conference tournament, faces a play-in matchup against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the First Four of the 2023 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.

The winner advances to face the number one overall seed in the tournament, Alabama, in the South region.

The Redhawks feature St. Louis area products in Phillip Russell and Kobe Clark (Vashon), Tevin Gowins (Hazelwood Central) and Dylan Branson (Mehlville).

Tuesday’s matchup against Texas A&M-CC tips off at 5:40pm in Dayton, OH and can be seen on TruTV.

If SEMO advances, the Redhawks will take on the Crimson Tide Thursday afternoon at 1:45pm on CBS.

The University of Missouri Tigers also tip off their tournament action Thursday afternoon, also in the South region, at 12:20pm as the seventh-seeded Tigers take on the No. 10 Utah State Aggies. The game airs on TNT.

Two Missouri rivals will square off in another first round matchup Thursday when No. 9 Illinois hoops it up against No. 8 Arkansas in a West region matchup. That game is slated for a 3:20 tip on TBS.

There are several other local players dotting NCAA tournament teams, including Arizona (Courtney Ramey), VCU (Nick Kern), Gonzaga (Malachi Smith), Creighton (Ryan Kalkbrenner).
