TAMPA — Tampa police arrested a man they said was armed and trying to get into a gentleman's club.
Michael Rudman, 44, was arrested Sunday morning outside Mons Venus on Dale Mabry Highway, according to a media release sent Tuesday.
Police say Rudman was wearing a red and black devil mask and had the words "kill" and "dark one" on his arms.
According to investigators, Rudman had a firearm in one hand and a flashlight in the other as he approached the club.
A club security guard noticed the gun, and was able to knock it out of Rudman's hand, police said.
During the scuffle, a round from Rudman's gun hit the door of the building. Nobody inside was hurt.
A security guard suffered minor injuries.
Investigators said they found more ammunition, knives and gun accessories in Rudman's truck, as well as two fully loaded magazines in his pocket.
Police are still trying to find a motive behind Rudman's actions.
He faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
