PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — There’s now an easier way for Pasco County residents to report traffic problems.
Pasco just launched a new online traffic operations request form.
If residents have an issue with a sign that might be needed or a traffic light not working, they can simply fill out a form that goes right to traffic operations.
“We want to be more transparent and a more responsive,” said Pasco County Traffic Operations Manager Venkat Vattikuti.
Since the form launched, he says they’re getting more than 10 requests a day. But the new system allows them to keep track of those requests better than before.
“We used to get a lot of emails from various people requesting information. At the same time, we want to track the information we’re sending out,” Vattikuti said.
He says residents can expect a response within 24 hours. They’ll also be updated on the progress of any projects.
The county says many of the requests so far have been for traffic calming or traffic control devices such as lights or signs. Residents can also ask about repairs that may be needed or issues involving sidewalks.
