TAMPA, Fla. — An argument between at least three people led to gunfire Tuesday night at a West Tampa apartment complex, sending a juvenile to the hospital.

According to Tampa police, the juvenile was shot while in the doorway of a unit at the Columbus Court Apartments, near Columbus Drive and Rome Avenue.

Officials said the argument escalated just after 8:30 p.m. in the complex parking lot. Three people pulled guns and began shooting.

The juvenile shot was rushed to an area hospital. His condition has not been released.

The apartment complex has surveillance cameras in the parking lot but police have not said if the shooting was captured by those cameras.  

Authorities are investigating and searching for the gunmen.
