ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.— The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that they will open a portion of the Tropicana Field upper deck for the three-game series against the New York Yankees, beginning on Friday, May 5.

The Rays started the season with 14 straight wins at home before losing Tuesday night to the Houston Astros. They are 20-4 overall, the best record in Major League Baseball.

“It’s been a thrilling and historic start to our 25th anniversary season, and fan interest and excitement continues to grow throughout the Tampa Bay region,” said Rays Chief Business Officer Bill Walsh.

“There’s especially high interest in this home series versus the Yankees, and we’re looking forward to Rays fans packing Tropicana Field all weekend long.” 

Thousands of additional seats in the 300 Level will be made available to fans. Newly available tickets in the 300 Level start at $39. 

Fans who wish to purchase tickets should visit RaysBaseball.com or the MLB Ballpark app.

Paper tickets, including print-at-home and PDF versions, are not available or accepted.

RAYS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES 

The Rays have announced a postgame concert at Tropicana Field as part of their Summer Concert Series. Following the conclusion of the 6:40 p.m. game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, May 19, attending fans will be treated to a performance from indie pop band, AJR. 

In addition, fans who wish to upgrade their experience and enjoy the concert from the field may do so by purchasing a field access wristband in advance at RaysBaseball.com/Concerts. Wristbands may only be purchased along with a valid game ticket.
