PALM COAST, Fla. — The 5th annual Palm Coast Songwriters Festival is now underway, marking the start of a weekend full of high notes at the Daytona Beach College Palm Coast amphitheater.
Nearly 40 singer-songwriters will perform the songs they helped to craft during the four-day event. Organizers say the group is responsible for about 125 number one hits.
For them, this weekend represents a unique opportunity. And for the city, it’s a chance to showcase what it has to offer.
“Get out there on the stage, that we never really got to do, or didn’t get to do, and tell the story where the heart is behind the song,” singer-songwriter Casey Beathard said.
“Quite frankly, the reason it’s grown so well is because people that come and listen to it are telling their friends. So everyone that attends the festival becomes an ambassador for the project,” Mayor David Alfin said.
Spectrum is a major media sponsor for the festival, which organizers say began in 2017 as an effort to bring something unique to the Palm Coast community.
Spectrum News 13 is part of Spectrum Networks and its parent company Charter Communications.
