TAMPA, Fla. — The electronic dance scene will be taking over Tampa Bay for Memorial Day weekend as Sunset Music Festival returns to the north lots of Raymond James Stadium May 27-28.

EDM music lovers will enjoy live music with various DJ's, food and clothing vendors and other events planned for two days from 4 p.m. - 12 a.m. Here's what you need to know about the festival: 

Sound Impacts:

Event organizers are taking all steps possible to mitigate the sound impact to residents of Tampa and Hillsborough County, although atmospheric conditions may increase the possibility for sound to travel further distances from the stadium than normal. If you have any questions or concerns on sound during the show, please call 813-350-6560.

Traffic Delays:

Sunset Music Festival is anticipated to attract thousands of attendees at Raymond James Stadium, so expect heavy traffic around Dale Mabry Highway, Himes Avenue and Tampa Bay Boulevard. View our Real Time Traffic Map to plan your route ahead and seek alternative roads.

Parking Info:

Lots will open at 3:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will close by 1:30 a.m. each night. Event organizers encourage anyone attending this event to take advantage of prepaid parking on the Park Jockey website. No loitering, tailgating or overnight parking will be permitted. Gates will open both days at 4 p.m.

Ride Sharing:

To accommodate ride sharing options such as Uber and Lyft, Ride Share drop-off and pick-up will take place in Lot C of the Stadium. Entry into the lot will be via the middle gate off Himes Ave. Once guests are dropped off, cars will exit on to Tom McEwen Boulevard via the south Lot C gate.

Tickets:

Sunset Music Festival is a completely cashless event. All wristbands purchased by Monday, May 8th at 11:59 p.m. will be shipped in advance to addresses provided at time of purchase. Orders placed after that date will not be mailed out and will only be available for arly off-site pickup and on-site pickup at one of the times and locations listed below. New tickets purchases can be made on the Sunset Music Festival website.

  • Wristband Pickup Locations: 
    Sunset Box Office, located at the Sunset Music Festival main gate in the north lot of Raymond James Stadium
    Box office hours: May 27-28, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. daily

  • Off-site Wristband Pickup: 
    Located at The Ritz Ybor with valid photo ID and your ticket order to pick up your wristband on weekdays preceding the event.


  • Off-site Check-in Hours:
    Wednesday, May 24 from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
    Thursday, May 25 from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
    Friday, May 26 from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

All orders must present their PDF ticket (either printed or on phone) and present acceptable identification to receive wristbands. Examples of acceptable and unacceptable identification are located in the SMF guide.

Prohibited Items and Event Guidelines:

For a safe festival experience and a smooth entry into the festival grounds, take the time to read the detailed list of prohibited items and event guidelines

Event Safety:

  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. There will be free water available at the festival so attendees can refill empty containers and keep up the party. CamelBaks and reusable water bottles are allowed, but they must be empty, non-multi-pocket and are subject to search upon entry. Medical personnel at the first aid tent will also serve sports drinks free of charge.
  • Be prepared for the temperature to change from day to night, check our Bay News 9 weather forecast and bring layers of clothing. Guesta can cool down at one of the designated Chill-Out spots located on the festival grounds.
  • Apply a hefty amount of sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful sun rays.
  • Near every stage around the festival grounds, look for first aid stations marked with a red cross. Attendees can visit free of charge for any health-related issues.
