LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — The Pasco County Schools district says football operations will resume at Land O' Lakes High School after they were suspended amid an investigation.

In a statement Wednesday, the district said: "Due to initial statements that suggested the incident might have been a hazing situation, the administration decided to halt all football operations at the school until the reports could be thoroughly investigated. After an initial investigation, evidence indicates a fight between two students occurred, and it doesn't appear to be a hazing incident."

The school system said it is "diligently working toward a resolution involving discipline surrounding violations of our student code of conduct. We are also taking proactive steps to resume football operations at Land O' Lakes High School safely and responsibly in time for the varsity game on Friday."
