TAMPA, Fla. — Between dressing up in costume and eating candy, Halloween is a day some children look forward to all year.
Some kids are hospitalized, but that doesn't mean they can't join in on the fun, and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, along with some state and local officials made sure of that.
Kids got to trade their hospital gowns for costumes as they stopped by decorated tables to get special treats on the St. Joseph's campus.
Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, State Representative Lindsay Cross and Hillsborough County School Board Chair Nadia Combs paid a special visit to the hospital to help child patients trick-or-treat during the hospital's annual Halloween parade.
