HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close a major highway exchange for several hours this weekend for ongoing construction work.
The eastbound Interstate 4 ramp to northbound Interstate 75 will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 for construction, FDOT said.

The ramp is scheduled to reopen before 4 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.
The temporary ramp closure is necessary for crews to perform concrete bridge maintenance work as part of FDOT's bridge maintenance project throughout Hillsborough County.
During this overnight ramp closure, motorists will detour around the work zone by staying right at the fork towards southbound I-75, exiting the interstate using (Exit 260), continuing east onto SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and re-entering the interstate using the northbound I-75 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area.
Drivers should expect slight delays and congestion during this temporary overnight detour.
