SUSPECT RULED INCOMPETENT

A Hillsborough County judge has ruled that the 28-year-old man that drove his vehicle into two deputies in Brandon last month is mentally incompetent to stand trial.

According to Bay News 9 partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Mark Kiser, after reviewing a doctor’s report, ordered that Ralph Bouzy should be committed to a secure facility for mental health treatment.

Bouzy will undergo mental health treatment until he is evaluated as well enough to stand trial.

He is facing three counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
