HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says an armed man was taken into custody after a shooting that sent a person to a local trauma center.

The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon on Ridgeline Lane in Spring Hill, at Mariner's Cay Apartments.

Authorities sent a news release just after 2 p.m. that the man was being sought and another at about 2:30 p.m. saying he had been captured. No names have been released at this time.
