CLEARWATER, Fla. — Clearwater police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon shooting that left a 16-year-old dead.

According to police, the shooting happened in the 1200 block of Engman Street just after 4 p.m.

Police said the 16-year-old victim died after being taken to Morton Plant Hospital.

Detectives continue to interview witnesses to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
