TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police are investigating a case of a woman who went missing late Saturday.

According to authorities, 20-year-old Kiyonna Myers made statements that made her family concerned for her personal well-being. 

Myers’ car was located at Ballast Point Park, 5300 Interbay Blvd., on Sunday. An ongoing search has been taking place since then.

A Purple Alert was issued in this case.

The Florida Purple Alert is used to assist in the location of missing adults suffering from a mental or cognitive disability that is not Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia-related disorder; an intellectual disability or a developmental disability; a brain injury; other physical, mental or emotional disabilities that are not related to substance abuse; or a combination of any of these.
