TALLAHASSEE, Fla. —The Florida House has passed a bill that would make driving in the left lane illegal unless you are passing another driver.
It would only apply to roads where the speed limit is 65 mph or higher, which basically means interstates.
Drivers caught violating the rule could get cited for a moving violation.
You can read HB 317 here.
It passed in the Florida House by a 113-3 vote. It would need Senate approval to move forward.
