CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Lear jet blew a tire during takeoff Monday morning from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

It took off from PIE at about 8 a.m. and its front tire shredded on take off. The pilot circled to burn off fuel before landing.

The lear jet taxied off runway on its own.

An airport spokesman told Spectrum Bay News 9 that four people were on board.
