He said there’s a lot of confusion there that leads to crashes.

“It’s every man for yourself here. I live in the condos here. And you constantly hear the emergency vehicles pulling up in this area,” Cox said.

Cox says there are several issues there.

One he describes are drivers trying to cross Anderson Road on Lynn Road, at the same time drivers on Anderson Road are making U-turns or turning left.

“When they’re all getting together at the same time, if you’re not paying attention, it’ll be a wreck,” Cox said.

He says it’s a major problem during the evening rush hour, especially when the nearby gymnastics school gets out. He says it can be hard to tell when drivers are trying to make U-turns or not.

“You pretty much take your life into your hands when you cross this intersection,” Cox said.

Hillsborough County officials told Spectrum Bay News 9 that the Public Works team has now opened a case into this intersection to see if any changes should be made.

Cox hopes any plans call for a new traffic light or improved signage.

“It could stop someone from having a bad wreck here. Again,” Cox said.
