Municipal elections took place Tuesday across Polk County.
Residents in Davenport, Dundee, Haines City and Lake Wales headed to the polls to cast their vote for city commission seats. Polls closed at 7 p.m.
In Davenport, voters tapped Linda M. Robinson over Timothy Scott Woodlee in the Seat 1 commission race (71.4% to 28.6%) and Jeremy Clark over Christopher A. Lopez for Seat 2. That vote saw Clark garner 57.5% of the vote.
Haines City voters chose Morris L. West over Joseph Vurgos and Jayne Hall for Seat 3 and Kim Downing over Clarence Daniels, Buster Raggs Sr. and Carlos Surita for Seat 4.
In Lake Wales, the Seat 2 race, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, saw a one-vote difference between the winner and runner-up. Daniel Williams had 939 votes, with Brandon Alvarado at 938. Crystal Higbee had 347. That race was not called because of the margin.
In Seat 4 in Lake Wales, Carol Gillespie topped Danny Krueger.
Meanwhile, in Dundee, voters decide whether to change their community’s status from the town of Dundee to the city of Dundee. "No" received 312 votes, with "Yes" getting 143.
