TAMPA, Fla. — Two key cogs in USF men’s basketball’s turnaround season appear to be headed elsewhere.

Starting guard Chris Youngblood has entered the transfer portal while junior forward Kasean Pryor has declared for the NBA draft and entered the portal.

A 6-foot-4 senior, Youngblood helped lead USF to a 25-8 season, the American Athletic Conference regular season championship and a win in the National Invitational Tournament.

Youngblood averaged 15 points and 2 assists per game this season.

USF coach Amir Abdur Rahim confirmed the Youngblood move on Monday night.

The news that Youngblood, the reigning AAC Co-Player of the Year, has entered the portal comes just three days after guard Selton Miguel, the league’s Sixth Man of the Year, declared for the NBA draft and also entered the transfer portal.

Pryor, a 6-foot-10 frontcourt player for the Bulls, averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds this past season. By submitting his name early for the draft, he can retain collegiate eligibility while at the same time hire an agent.
