The Straz plans to transform its waterfront along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa with an expansion of its current riverwalk stage area.

Leaders say that will allow for more events to be held there throughout the year.

Two new buildings and an education space are also included in the master plan.

“The expansion allows us to expand our programming offerings and our spaces to match the growing Tampa and Tampa Bay Region,” said Straz Center CEO Greg Holland.

The Tampa Museum of Art is also looking to add some major upgrades.

It's proposing a $110 million project that will extend the museum to the riverfront.

The plans include an auditorium, boat dock, and an 80,000-square foot outdoor sculpture garden.

The public can hear from leaders from each organization during a meeting tonight in Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center from 6 p.m. To 8 p.m.

Free parking will be available.
