TAMPA, Fla. — If you’re in downtown Tampa Friday and think you see a giant inflatable IUD, you’re not imagining things.

Americans for Contraception’s “IUD Express” Tour made a stop in Tampa on Friday. There were recent stops in Miami and Washington.

Organization officials said the campaign aims to educate and engage the public on what it says is the importance of protecting access to contraceptives.

In addition to highlighting a 20-foot IUD, the stop will feature speakers, including Rep. Kathy Castor (D) — Tampa and local OB-GYN doctors.

The event is taking place in Gaslight Park at 401 North Franklin St. in downtown Tampa until 4 p.m.
