TAMPA, Fla. — Project LINK is offering free, no-cost clinics for students in Hillsborough County Schools in need of a school physical before the new school year begins on August 12. 

The clinics are being hosted at various schools across the county on Saturdays through August 17.


What You Need To Know

  • Only new studnets to Hillsborough Schools are required to show proof of a school physical 

  • 6th graders moving to 7th grade are required to show proof of immunization boosters

  • Project LINK is hosting no-cost school physical clinics every Saturday through August 17 for qualifying families 

  • Families must register online in advance of their child's school physical

Families that qualify for the no-cost physicals include those on Medicaid and those that are uninsured or underinsured.

Tina Young is Project LINK CEO, and said there is a growing need for school physical assistance, as parents struggle to afford all the costs associated with getting kids back in school.

“These children would not be able to meet the school enrollment requirements for Hillsborough County to get in to school,” Young said.  “So they are very important for students to be in those seats on day one.”
