TAMPA, Fla. — Tuesday was Primary Day in Florida, and we followed a number of races locally and statewide.

Florida Senate Primary
Both races for the Florida Senate Primary have been called. Sen. Rick Scott won the Republican Primary, earning 84.4% of the vote. On the other side of the aisle, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell earning 69.4% in the Democratic Primary.
Congressional District 13 Democratic Primary
Candidate Whitney Fox has won the CD13 Democratic Primary race. She will now go on to compete in November against Republican Anna Paulina Luna.
Hillsborough State Attorney Democratic Primary
In a bid to win his job back in November, Andrew Warren won Tuesday's Democratic primary for Hillsborough County State Attorney.
Warren defeated Elizabeth Strauss, garnering 70.3% of the vote.
Warren will now face Republican Suzy Lopez in November. Lopez was appointed to the role after Gov. Ron DeSantis removed Warren from office in 2022.
Hillsborough School Board District 1
Incumbent Nadia Combs, a former Hillsborough public school teacher, has been declared the winner by defeating candidates Layla Collins and Julie Magill.
Hillsborough School Board District 3
Incumbent Jessica Vaughn has been declared the winner for Hillsboorugh School Board District 3.
Hillsborough County Commission District 4
Christine Miller is the Republican incumbent and will be opposed by Democratic nominee Nicole Payne.
Congressional District 14 Republican Primary
The Democratic primary election was canceled. Incumbent Kathy Castor advanced from the Democratic primary for U.S. House Florida District 14.
Her November opponent will be Robert Rochford running for the Republican party.
