WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Drones and fireworks in the sky together? You might be over LEGOLAND Florida Resort in Winter Haven.
Brick-or-Treat has arrived in the heavens and on the ground, and LEGOLAND Florida's Halloween characters are here.
And they don’t just pose with the kids — they are leading the party fun, dancing and deejaying.
The characters only come out once a year, and LEGOLAND Florida Entertainment Creative Production Manager Shay Davis takes care of them.
“So we’ve gotta make sure they look their best, they are feeling their best, that they are ready for the massive amounts of people that will be seeing them throughout Brick-or-Treat,” Davis said.
The annual spooky sightings complement the theme park’s once-a-year spooky menus.
Resort Executive Chef José Aléman said he tested the spooky recipes for months — and also counted on some secret weapons.
“I have three kids,” Aléman said.
So, he says he already knows that kids will pick up anything involving eyeballs.
And it’s all eyeballs on the sky, too, with a combo fireworks and drones show. It’s LEGOLAND Florida's latest addition to the Brick-or-Treat celebrations.
Davis said all this has only one measure of success.
“It’s really how many smiles are we putting on the faces of children,” Davis said.
