ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Crews across Florida are working to restore power to the hundreds of thousands of people without it since Hurricane Milton moved through the region.

In Clearwater, restaurants and stores without generators are having to wait to reopen.

It's also affecting traffic, with several lights out along Seminole Boulevard and Ulmerton Road, among many other locations.

On Ulmerton by U.S. 19, there is a line of power poles that didn't survive Milton's wind. They cracked at their bases and are leaning into the other power poles and pushing on the lines.

If your area flooded, Duke won't reconnect power until the electrical system has been inspected.
