President-elect Donald Trump is wasting no time picking people to fill up his executive cabinet.

The list includes former advisers and other seasoned politicians.

Trump is pushing for "recess appointments" to speed up the process of getting his cabinet in place. That would bypass Senate confirmation and threaten the government's established separation of powers.

Spectrum News spoke Tuesday with Eckerd College political science professor Anthony Brunello about how Trump could sidestep the Senate, the hurdles to such a maneuver, and the long-term effect of that strategy.
