TAMPA, Fla. — If you are traveling through Tampa International Airport (TPA) for the holidays, or even driving through to pick up or drop off passengers, bring your patience.

What You Need To Know

  • Use express curbside check-in

  • Know where you are parking before you arrive at the airport

  • Avoid circling the airport for pickups and drop-offs

  • Use Uber Eats, TPA to Go, or the Starbucks app to avoid lines for food and coffee

Between Thursday and Jan. 6, TPA says it expects to see 1.5 million passengers, averaging around 80,000 passengers per day.

On the peak travel day of Dec. 27, TPA could see close to 90,000 passengers.

To help travelers navigate the crowds, the airport has issued a “cheat sheet” to help speed up your travels.

So far, there are no weather delays impacting flights at TPA, but the airport encourages you to monitor weather nationwide, as well as your specific flight, and call ahead if your flight is at risk to be delayed or cancelled.
