ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — In the aftermath of hurricanes Helene and Milton, the City of St. Petersburg will begin the final debris pickup citywide on Jan. 3.
All remaining storm debris should be placed in the right of way by that date.
City leaders made that announcement Friday.
Residents should bring any last debris items to the curb and separate items into the following item groups:
- Vegetative Debris: Branches, leaves, logs, and plants
- Fencing Materials: Fences knocked over during the storm
- Electronics: Computers, televisions, and other devices
- Appliances: Air conditioners, dishwashers, washers and dryers, stoves, refrigerators, water heaters
- Construction Materials: building materials, carpet, drywall, furniture, lumber, plumbing
