FLORIDA — Time is running out to apply for FEMA aid.

Applications for aid from hurricanes Helene and Milton are due Tuesday, Jan. 7.

FEMA representatives have been helping residents through the process for months. One employee says the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) can help people get more personalized assistance.

"Since we have so many survivors, that's why we have the DRC's to address all their needs in real time," FEMA representative Belinda Borrero said.

Those applying must file separate claims for each storm. You can apply online or at 800-621-3362.
