HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — An investigation is taking place after a person was found dead following a mobile home fire in Brooksville Wednesday night.
According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, crews responded to a fire in the 15000 block of Shady Street just after 7 p.m.

While units were responding, they were notified of a potential trapped occupant.
The first engine arrived to find the heavy fire coming from the mobile home. The crew entered the home and found a victim dead inside the home.
There were no injuries and the fire was brought under control in 30 minutes.
The Florida State Fire Marshals Office will be handling the investigation in conjunction with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
