AUSTIN, Texas – Longhorn pride will be returning to South by Southwest this year, with a takeover at Antone’s nightclub on March 7 and 8, on 305 E. 5th Street.

“The city has long been a magnet for creative talent and innovation, and The University of Texas helps attract and develop the best people and ideas,” according to a statement on the university’s website

The weekend-long event will kick off with the University of Texas Longhorn Band Parade at the Austin Convention Center at 10 a.m. on March 7, as they make their way to the Hook ‘Em House. 

You can also enjoy performances by Nicholas Challier, Brooke Michelle and the Mariachi Paredes de Tejastitlán at the UT Student Music Showcase on the Armadillo World Headquarters Stage. 

Other live music events include:

  • Mobley on March 7 at 8 p.m.

  • Shakey Graves on March 8 at 8 p.m.

  • DJ sets from KUTX 98.9

Hook ‘Em House will also foster creative conversations with multiple speakers and collaborative spaces. This includes a podcast recording with special guest Colt McCoy, an International Women’s Day breakfast and an AI panel discussion.

The event is free and open to the public, but registering is required.
