AUSTIN, Texas – The Moody Theater, home to ACL Live, will host this year’s iHeartPodcast Awards on March 10 at 7 p.m. The event includes awards such as “Podcast of the Year,” “Best Comedy” and “Best Pop Culture.” 

Featured podcasts include Call Her Daddy for Podcast of the Year, The Nikki Glaser Podcast for Best Comedy and Up First from NPR for Best News.

“The growth of this event highlights our shared mission to celebrate the transformative impact of podcasting, starting with the creators and distributors who bring these stories to life,” said Peter Lewis, SXSW chief partnerships officer, according to iHeartMedia’s website. 

Three Icon Awards will also be given out, which recognize and honor podcasts that have contributed meaningfully to the industry. Many journalists, including Emmy and Peabody award-winner Sarah Spain and investigative reporter Dan Taberski, will be recognized. 

In partnership with South By Southwest, the event will be open to badge holders for the first time. It will also be broadcasted by select iHeartMedia Radio Stations, on the iHeartRadio app and on iHeartRadio’s YouTube Channel.
