ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — A Tampa Bay beach icon is set for its return.
The Don CeSar will reopen March 26, according to an announcement from resort officials. Reservations for overnight stays will be available starting April 1.
The hotel, often called the "Pink Palace," has been closed since last year’s back-to-back hurricanes, Helene and Milton.
Resort officials say the nearly century-old resort, which celebrated its 97th anniversary in January, has been returned to its former grandeur.
The Don CeSar is welcoming guests back with a phased reopening, offering access to a selection of signature experiences while continuing to refine its iconic ground-level spaces. Beginning March 26, visitors can enjoy:
· The award-winning Maritana Restaurant, now transformed into an all-day dining destination.
· The Lobby Bar, which shifts seamlessly from a morning coffee retreat to an elegant evening cocktail lounge.
· The Spa at The Don CeSar, providing indulgent wellness experiences.
· Beachfront relaxation and access to pool and beach.
· Fitness center including group classes.
· In-room and poolside dining available.
· Valet parking available at $35 per night, with resort fees set at $20 plus tax per night.
· Reservations for overnight stays will be available starting April 1st.
“With nearly 100 years of history, The Don CeSar has long been a symbol of resilience, luxury, and hospitality on Florida’s Gulf Coast,” said Barbara Readey, general manager at The Don CeSar. “Our team has worked tirelessly to restore and enhance this treasured landmark, ensuring that guests can continue to create unforgettable memories for generations to come.”
