LEON, Wis. — Waushara County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) responded to a report of human remains found near County Road EE between Blackhawk Avenue and 26th Court in Leon, Wis., on Thursday, March 13.
On Monday, March 17, the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Officer — alongside the Wisconsin Department of Justice and WCSO — identified the remains. However, that has yet to be released to the public. Officials said they would release the name at a later date.
WCSO is leading an investigation related to the discovered remains.
