TAMPA — Home ice will give the Tampa Bay Lightning a friendly start to their 2023-24 season.
The Lightning will play six of their first nine regular-season games at Amalie Arena, starting with their home opener at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10 against the Nashville Predators.

They have to go on the road for three games right after that but then return home from Oct. 19-30 for a five-game home stand, one of two during the season. The second comes Feb. 29-March 14. Tampa Bay also has two five-game road trips.
Fourteen of Tampa Bay's home games will be played on Thursdays, and 10 will be on Saturdays.
The Bolts will face each team in their division, the Atlantic, four times with the exceptions of the Florida Panthers and Detroit Red Wings, which they will play three times. They will play the Metropolitan Division three times each and play against each Western Conference opponent twice (once home and once away).
The Bolts’ busiest month will come in November, with six games at home and a season-high nine away from Tampa. They will play their most home games during the month of December, with seven contests at Amalie Arena.
