The World Surf League will stream its entire lineup of 2025 Championship Tour events on ESPN Plus, the sport’s most prominent organization announced on Wednesday.

Starting with the season-opening Lexus Pipe Pro on Oahu’s North Shore next week, all 11 regular-season CT events plus the WSL Final will be available live on the platform.

It is an expansion of the existing deal between the WSL and ESPN. The WSL Inside Pro Surfing program will return to ESPN2 this season and be available on the ESPN Plus and Disney+ platforms.

“Following a historic year for surfing, we’re thrilled to continue the momentum into the 2025 CT season by expanding access to more viewers in more ways through our work with ESPN,” WSL Chief Revenue Officer Cherie Cohen said in a news release. “2025 will be an amazing opportunity to showcase surfing across The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer and linear platforms.”

Said Caroline Marks, the WSL women’s 2023 champ, “I’m excited to have the Championship Tour on these streaming platforms for our fans to watch, and it’s an incredible opportunity to reach new fans.”

As has been the case in the past, all WSL CT and Challenger Series events will be televised live in Hawaii on the Spectrum Surf Channel (Ch. 20/1020).

Previously, the WSL's streaming was done on its website and a collection of various apps.

Haleiwa native Barron Mamiya, 24, is the men’s defending champion at the Lexus Pipe Pro while Caitlin Simmers, 19, of Oceanside, Calif., is the defending women’s champ. Action is set to begin on Wednesday.

The reigning WSL men's world champion, Oahu's John John Florence, announced Tuesday that he is stepping off the CT in 2025 for other projects and will look to return in 2026.
